Electrolysis Treatment Schedule
An electrolysis treatment schedule considers both the needs of the electrologist and client. I’ve removed full female beards inside of 6 months because the client was extremely motivated. On the other hand, I’ve had clients who come once a month or even once a year. I treat a hair once and it’s gone, for this reason, the timing of appointments is negotiable. You can, however, count on having 10x more hair than you see with naked eye.
Factors Determining Electrolysis Treatment Schedule
The treatment area is a huge factor in the length of electrolysis treatment. The face is most treated area. At Follikill you can expect 2-5 hours of treatment to get a handle on the average female face. The timing of appointments does not matter but it is ideal to get each hair as it emerges from the skin. There is no need to let the hair become noticeable because the roots get deeper and stronger with time. I can treat the sprouts before they become visible to the naked eye.
I advise my clients to do the first few appointments close together so we can get a 50% or more reduction right out of the gate. Once we get to the touch up phase clients tend to space the treatments out. After a few hours of treatment the hair is easier to deal with, thus clients are more confident because their complexion is much improved.
Electrolysis Treatment Schedule For The Body
There is more wiggle room with timing electrolysis appointments on the body. I can completely clear a large area on the body during an appointment. Body work is easier due to the less contoured surface. The hair is also less dense on the body. I can clear an underarm in 2-3 hours but I can’t fully clear a face in that amount of time. After clearing an area like the underarms, you can easily wait 6-8 weeks for another treatment. This allows as much hair to be at the surface of the skin as possible, making for a more effective treatment.
At Follikill, I measure your total treatment time in hours. At the first appointment I will give you a clear estimate of the time if takes to clear your hair.
