Electrolysis Treatment Time
The number of electrolysis treatment hours can vary based on a number of variables including density and texture of the hair. There are some general guidelines, however, and the post below outlines the electrolysis treatment time for some recent clients whose hair growth pattern and results are typical. You can also read some electrolysis case studies. You can also read my electrolysis reviews for some timelines.
Electrolysis Treatment Time – FACE
This client had an average amount of coarse black hair on her chin and neck, plus a fair amount of medium coarse hairs which are invisible in this photo. Jada is of Caribbean/Middle Eastern background so her facial hair is somewhat curly and quite coarse, and those 2 factors means each hair needs more time to treat effectively. I had 9 appointments with Jada over one year (approximately 4 hours total treatment time) and now she brings her mom to me. Jada could have finished in under a year but she kept to shorter appointments and spaced her appointments about 3 months apart. Plus she kept shaving and although shaving doesn’t increase hair growth, it definitely delays progress. The second photo is prior to her last appointment and I expect to see her a few more times for the finer hairs that grow quite long.
Electrolysis Treatment Time – Underarms
(pending update – waiting on photos)
To summarize, the total treatment time of electrolysis varies on the area treated, as well as the texture and density of the hair growth.
