Can Electrolysis Fail?
Electrolysis does not fail if you have an electrologist doing good work. That means making proper insertions and delivering a healthy dose of current. Most electrolysis fails because most people don’t understand the art and science of electrolysis, plain and simple.
Even my clients go through a phase where they think electrolysis is not working. It generally happens when we are 80% finished and they’ve forgotten how dense their hair growth was at the beginning. When clients see new growth coming in they wrongly assume it’s “regrowth”. I explain that for every hair you see on the surface of the skin, there are a handful beneath the skin waiting to come up. Hair growth cycles are not synchronized to your electrolysis schedule so although you may be coming regularly for appointments your hair comes in on its own time. 🙂
Why Does Electrolysis Fail?
Electrolysis at Follikill works regardless of how long you’ve tweezed, waxed or threaded your hair. It works 100% of the time regardless of hair texture and skin type. In fact, the most fun clients are the ones who come in with a face full of hyperpigmentation and ingrown hairs. I tell them to prepare to be amazed. What is not evident in the before photo below is the actual density of the hair. You see the coarse ones but not the fine ones that I cleared as well. This client came every 1-3 months.
If you see electrolysis fail after many months with no results then you should find an electrologist with a better success rate. Electrolysis is the tried-and-true method of permanent hair removal for almost 150 years.
