Cheap, Fast And Good – The Electrologist’s Holy Triangle

How To Shop For Electrolysis Services

As consumers we all want things to be cheap, fast and good. Unfortunately, it’s a reality that you can’t get all 3, so you have to choose two out of the three features that are most important to you. That’s the rule whether you’re looking for a web designer, a decent restaurant meal or, in your case, electrolysis services. Basically the catchphrase means that if something is cheap and fast, it won’t be good. If something is cheap and good, then it won’t be fast. And, finally, if something is good and fast, then it certainly won’t be cheap. And if you want a free service, I think the chart covers that as well.

A Framework To Use When Considering The Value Of Electrolysis Services

When you’re looking for electrolysis services obviously the good takes precedence over everything else, in fact I’m tempted to say that good carries double weight. As in if you find someone good, who cares about the rest, but certainly speed and cost must factor in somehow.

There are a number of rapid fire pluckers out there, and like many of you, I wasted money on them myself when I was a client.

In my opinion effectiveness and speed often have an inverse relation when it comes to electrolysis services.

So I think speed should be the least of your considerations when you’re seeking electrolysis services. Finding an electrologist who is conscientious and thorough can get you to where you want to go within an acceptable time frame and budget. Someone who is doing permanent work already has a sense of ethics so it’s very likely they are going to work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Cost is probably the toughest feature to gauge in advance.

The most cost effective electrologist is the one whose kill rate gives you the best return on your dollar.

So if someone charges $50 but essentially tweezes every single hair then you are out of pocket and no further ahead. Yet if you pay double to someone who kills 90% of the hairs they treat then you will see a return on your investment in about 4-6 months.

How can you figure out the cost/benefit ratio of electrolysis services in advance? The ideal way is to grow out a small patch of hair on your face or body for one month and have that area treated for 30 minutes on two separate occasions 6-8 weeks apart.

Have the electrologist clear the area both times and do not shave or tweeze the area between visits. You should notice a reduction in the hair growth 6 weeks after the second treatment. A great result would mean that you see a few of the darker hairs left and a smattering of finer ones.

Shopping for electrolysis services is the same as shopping for an appliance or clothing or a new mattress.

You get what you pay for. And no one ever regretted buying quality.
